The Maryland Association of Housing and Redevelopment Agencies (“MAHRA”) is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the 2022 Maryland Association of Housing and Redevelopment Agencies’ educational scholarships.
The Rose Marie Coughlin scholarships are awarded in memory of our former Executive Director. Historically, MAHRA scholarships have enabled motivated and talented residents to reach their educational and professional goals, as well as self-sufficiency.
Please publicize the scholarship program and encourage residents to apply. A scholarship applicant must be sponsored by a MAHRA membership agency.
The applicant must reside in housing owned or managed by the agency, receive a subsidy administered by the agency or receive assistance through housing and community development agencies or non-profit organizations that are MAHRA members.
Sponsoring agencies should review the applications with the applicants and endorse the applications. Space is provided on the application for the Executive Director’s signature.
We are asking each agency to support the program through the submission of applications and a donation of $250.00 to fund the program. An invoice is enclosed for your convenience.
A separate donation form is enclosed for individual contributions and memorials. Contributions should be made by Friday, July 31, 2022.
Please make checks payable to: MAHRA - Rose Marie Coughlin Scholarship Program and mail to MAHRA Scholarships, P.O. Box 6700, Towson, MD 21286.
Winners will be announced September 9,2022.
