The Maryland Association of Housing and Redevelopment Agencies (MAHRA) is seeking nominations for the Board of Directors. Elected Board members will begin serving in June 2020. If you are interested in applying or would like to recommend someone for the Board, please click the link for the position description and application form. Applications are due by April 15, 2020. Housing Choice Voucher Occupancy, Eligibility, Income and Rent Calculation (HCVOEIR) w/ Certification Exam has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

The NAHRO Merit College Scholarship Program awards $1,000 each to eight scholars, one from each NAHRO region, who are pursuing their first post-secondary degree.

The applicant must reside in housing owned or managed by the agency, receive a subsidy administered by the agency, or receive assistance through housing and community development agencies or non-profit organizations that are MAHRA members.

Youth in grades K-12 who reside in communities or properties supported by member agencies are encouraged to participate in MAHRA’s annual poster contest. Poster submissions must illustrate the theme “What Home Means to Me” on a 22” x 28” poster using the art media of their choice, such as crayon, collage, marker, etc.
